PREPARATION OF FORMING COMPOSITION USING GRAPHITE WASTE

PURPOSE: A preparation method of forming composition is provided to save manufacturing costs, decrease dust and waste, and improve characteristics of product by using graphite waste and thermosetting resin. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method comprises the steps of: mixing 50-95wt.% of waste graphite with 5-50wt.% of thermosetting resin; adding 1-35wt.% of hardening agent, 1-20wt.% of filler such as MgO, ZnO and CaCO3, 3wt.%(based on the amount of thermosetting resin) of mold release agent such as stearic acid, and 10-30wt% of dispersant, 0.2-1.0wt.% of antifoaming agent, 1-10wt.% of promotor, based on the amount of thermosetting resin and hardening agent; molding; pressing at 80-200deg.C for 5-200min. under a pressure of 0-150kgf/cm¬2. The thermosetting resin is selected from the group consisting of phenol, silicon, melamine, epoxy, polyurethane, etc. The hardening agent is selected from the group consisting of secondary amine, isocyanate and peroxide.
