PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To forcibly stop an engine to secure safety in the incomplete operation and failure of a parking brake. SOLUTION: Whether a transmission range position is within a traveling range or not is checked (S101), and whether a parking brake switch is OFF or not is checked when YES (traveling range) (S102). When the parking brake switch is ON as a result of the checking, whether a vehicle is stopped at a speed below 0 km/h or not is checked (S105), and 1 is added to a VS counter in the case of car speed>0 km/h, and further whether the number of the counter reaches 10 or not is checked (S107). When the number of the counter reaches 10, a PB fuel cut flag is set to 1 (S108), and the fuel cut is executed to stop the engine.
