PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high power conversion efficiency and size and weight reduction for a circuit. SOLUTION: For the constitution of a combined resonance switching converter, provided with a voltage resonance converter on the primary side and a parallel resonance circuit on a secondary side, an active clamping circuit is provided on the primary side, to clamp a parallel resonance voltage pulse generated on both ends of the primary parallel resonance capacitor, thereby restraining its level. It is thus possible to select a low-pressure product for withstanding pressure of respective elements, such as switching elements used in a power circuit and the primary parallel resonance capacitor.
