PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reflector in which decrease in the high reflectance of Ag is suppressed, stable weather resistance is continuously obtained even when the reflector is exposed to a severe environment of high temperature and high humidity, the effect for the practical use is high with effectively reinforced joining property, and high reliability is obtained. SOLUTION: The reflector is obtained by forming a reflection film 3 consisting of AgPdX, AgAuX (wherein X is Cu or Ti) to specified film thickness (nm) on a substrate 2. The alloy essentially comprises Ag with addition of Pd or Au or both of them by 0.5 to 3.0 wt.% and further with addition of at least one kind of Al, Pt, Cu, Ta, Cr, Ti, Ni, Co and Si, for example, with addition of Cu or Ti by 0.1 to 3.0 wt.% of Cu or Ti. The joining property is effectively reinforced by forming an organic base film 8 on the substrate 2 as the pretreatment and then forming the reflection film 3 thereon.
