PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which an extremely thin solid activated- carbon electrode can be manufactured stably. SOLUTION: In this method, the electrostatic latent image of an activated- carbon electrode 10 is formed by projecting light 76 upon the surface of a photosensitive drum 73 electrostatically charged in an electrostatically charging step 60 in an exposing step 62, and the latent image is visualized by sticking powder material 30 for electrode containing activated-carbon powder 32 manufactured in a powder material manufacturing step 48 and a thermosetting rein 34 which couples the powder 32 to the latent image on the surface of the drum 73 in a developing step 64. Then the powder material 30 forming the visual image is transferred to thin paper 84 in a transferring step 66, and the extremely thin activated-carbon electrode 10 is obtained by coupling the activated-carbon powder 32 with each other by using glass-like carbon derived from resin 34 contained in the powder material 30, by carbonizing the resin 36 by heat-treating the thin paper 84 carrying the transferred material 30 in a carbonizing step 70. |
