<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for contention control which can set a proper grading and carry performance such as impartiality and high throughput without deteriorating the performance of DRR. SOLUTION: The contention controller comprises an arbitrary number of buffers B1 to BN which temporarily store arrival packets by input packet flows, a readout control part RC which performs readout control over a buffer stored with a packet to be outputted next among the respective buffers B1 to BN, a packet readout part PR which outputs packets from the buffer read and selected by the readout control part RC to an output line in sequence, and an output-side statistic execution part OS which gathers statistical observation information of packet processing, determines a grading as a control parameter of the readout selection control of the readout control part RC, and informs the readout control part RC of it.</p> |
