PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert prescribed information closely related with a received picture into the margin of the picture frame of a display device. SOLUTION: An information controller 2 has a means for successively reading programs stored in an auxiliary storage device 3 to identify the aspect ratio of picture information received by a receiver 8 by an identifier related with the reproduced picture information, a means for selecting second prescribed multimedia information from first prescribed multimedia information stored in a storage device 1 previously and multimedia information including the received picture information based on a correlation degree with the received picture, and a means for inserting and displaying the selected second prescribed multimedia information into and on the margin.
