LEAK INSPECTION AGENT, WATER LEAK INSPECTION FILM, METHOD FOR APPLYING IT, AND METHOD FOR INSPECTING WATER LEAK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water leak inspection agent and a water leak detection method allowing visual inspection of the subject of inspection over a long period for any defects causing leaks. SOLUTION: This water leak inspection film 10 is formed by application of the water leak inspection agent (made of white powder 6 and binder 9 supporting dye 7) to the surface 11 of the subject of inspection, after which the surface of the film is periodically observed. When a penetrated defect part 3 causing water leaks occurs in the surface 11 of the subject of inspection, a colored area 5 appears as the result of reaction of water conveyed by the penetrated defect part 3 with the leak inspection film 10, so that the defect can be readily detected through visual observation.
