PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wear in an inner wall of a flue through which passes magnetic dust mainly containing iron oxide. SOLUTION: In a flue for an exhaust gas containing the magnetic dust, the outer wall corresponding to a part of the flue undergoing wear due to the magnetic dust is provided with a magnetic attraction means, e.g. an electromagnet 3, for accumulating and holding the magnetic dust on the inner surface of the flue. Thus the thickness of the dust layer which has been attracting to the inner wall is controlled through current control.
