BOILER AND ITS RECONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict increase of a thermal load between a burner and an after- air inlet and further restrict a film boiling of steam. SOLUTION: A boiler provided with burners 1a to 1f and after-air inlets 2a, 2b at a side wall of a furnace 10 is constructed such that the after-air inlets are arranged below the extremity end of the flame generated by the burners in a slant upward direction so as to cause the after-air to be injected out at the extremity end of the flame. A distance between the after-air and the water wall becomes short and a film boiling can be restricted.
