PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color developer composition which protects a device such as a copying machine from ozone, NOx or the like produced by discharge so as to obtain high durability of the device, and to provide a method of forming an image by using that composition. SOLUTION: The color developer composition is prepared by externally adding fine particles containing a release composition to toner fine particles, and the release composition contains at least an antioxidant and a release agent. An image is formed by using the color developer composition.
