PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized projector generating no image blurs even if vibration is applied to it. SOLUTION: A personal computer 21 and a projection apparatus 22 such as a small-sized liquid crystal projector are provided, an image 23 is projected by the projection apparatus, and a damping mechanism is built in the projection apparatus 22. More specifically, the projection apparatus 22 includes the body, an angular velocity detection means such as a laser gyroscope capable of detecting the angular velocity of at least one axis arranged in the body, the projection lens attached to the body and the variable vertical angle prism attached to the projection lens on the emitting side thereof. The angular velocity detection means detects generation of shakings and sends the data of shaking to a microcomputer (not shown). The variable vertical angle prism is controlled on the basis of the data to alter a light path so as to prevent positional change for the projection image.
