PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reading accuracy of a registration correction pattern formed on a recording medium by an image forming means and to accurately correct positional deviation by changing the density of the image of the registration correction pattern in every image forming means and making reflected light quantity by each color image constant. SOLUTION: In order to make the density of a registration correction mark formed by plural image stations ST1 to ST4 specified density different from each other, an image processing station 52 independently controls the image forming operation of the image stations ST1 to ST4 so that the density of the image of the registration correction pattern is changed in every image forming means so as to make the reflected light quantity by each color image constant.
