PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of realizing job streaming by prioritizing the use of the basic processing resource of a multifunction printing system. SOLUTION: A control part having an improved job contention manager(JCM) is used in a printing system. Plural basic resources of the printing system are provided with a queue, respectively. By transmitting a signal to the JCM, a sub job being a specified job is performed by one or more job services at a desired time. The signal concerning each sub job includes information on the job service and the priority of each sub job. The JCM adds the corresponding basic resource sub job to the queue of each basic resource necessary to perform the sub job according to the signal from the job service. When the first sub job is a top in the queues of all the basic resources necessary to perform the first sub job, the first sub job is set to an 'active' state. |
