PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone device which reduces annoyance to people present at the spot by solving the problem of a failure in answering a call by automatically changing the tone and melody of incoming call sound according to circumferential environment and indicating call-arrival with the incoming sound matching the use environment. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a sound pickup means which picks up circumferential sound, a circumferential sound analyzing means which analyzes the frequency, power, etc., of the sound picked up by the sound pickup means, a sound reproducing means which reproduces a sound or musical sound indicating a call arrival from a caller, a melody storage means which stores pieces of note data of melodies as incoming call sound, a melody selecting means which selects a melody as incoming call sound, a tone selecting means which selects one or more tones, and an incoming sound generating means which generates the selected melody with the selected tone, and changes the timbre or melody as the incoming call sound when there is call arrival according to the analysis result of the circumferential sound analyzing means. |
