PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction plate for a wet clutch with high cooling performance and low drag torque. SOLUTION: In this friction plate for a wet clutch comprising a core 20 and a friction material 21 bonded on both side faces of this core 20, plural rows of first oil grooves 22 communicating inner and outer circumferential rims of the friction material 21 and second oil grooves 23 mutually communicating intermediate parts of adjacent first oil grooves 22 are formed on the friction material 21, and the first oil grooves 22 are arranged tilted a certain angleαtoward a circumferential direction of the core 20 with respect to radial lines R passing radial direction inner ends of the first oil grooves 22. The second oil grooves 23 are arranged tilted in the same direction as the first oil grooves 22 with an acute angleβlarger than the certain angleαwith respect to the radial lines R passing radial direction inner ends of the second oil grooves 23.
