PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin transformer where the transformer can be set free from limitations imposed on a usual transformer in which its block-like closed magnetic circuit core gets larger in height than a certain value, a core of laminated silicon steel plate is restrained from deteriorating in material yield, a ferrite core is prevented from being easily cracked, the transformer can be easily lessened in thickness, a core of material which is high in saturation magnetic flux density and hard to saturate magnetically is utilized, and the transformer is never increased in mounting area even if it is lessened in thickness. SOLUTION: Cylindrical cores are arranged in array, a loop is formed of conductors penetrating through the cylindrical cores, and a primary or secondary coil is formed of the loop for the formation of a thin transformer. Or, single conductors penetrating through the cylindrical cores are connected in parallel to serve as a primary coil for the formation of a thin transformer. Furthermore, a magnetic thin plate of amorphous ultra fine crystal alloy is rolled into a core, and a thin transformer is formed by the use of the core.
