PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive to prevent refrigerant leak due to freeze destruction of a tank in a heat exchanger comprising tubes and the tanks. SOLUTION: In a heat exchanger that has tubes 2 and fins 3 laminated alternately and is provided with tanks 5 and 6 at least one end of the tube 2, the tanks 5 or 6 are provided with passages 9 or 16 at the inlet side and passages 10 or 17 at the outlet side, and both of these passages are completely separated. Moreover, the tanks 5 or 6 are integrally formed by extrusion forming.
