PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor control method a control unit for preventing foreign sounds which are caused by cogging torque of a DC motor and backlash of a gear and generated in an engaging portion of the gear, when the DC motor is started. SOLUTION: In this DC motor control method, a DC current smaller than a threshold current, which is necessary for a first gear coupled with a shaft of a rotor of the DC motor for conducting rotational drive of a second gear engaged with the first gear is supplied as an initial value current, to the DC motor for a prescribed period when the DC motor is started. The DC motor control unit is equipped with an initial value current supply command part, which forms and outputs an initial value current supply command signal for ordering supply of the initial value current. |
