PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical sensor capable of maintaining an NOx sensitivity characteristic, and simultaneously improving greatly a speed of gas response. SOLUTION: A detection electrode 7 of a mixed potential type of a metal oxide containing Cr formed on zirconia solid electrolyte 6 as a constitutive element is used, and an auxiliary electrode 10 comprising a noble metal having high activity to oxygen is formed. The detection electrode 7 formed on a solid electrolyte substrate is connected to the auxiliary electrode 10 of a noble metal electrode having high activity to oxygen through a collector 9. |
