METHOD FOR DETECTING DEFECT IN ANALYZER CARRYING OUT CLINICAL ANALYSIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high defect detection efficiency, without having to individually attack defect modes. SOLUTION: According to this method for detecting defects in the analyzer carrying out clinical analysis, there is a possibility of an error causing analysis defects in the analyzer and its potential source are identified. A probability that the identified error source generates a clinically significant error is also determined. A utilizable detecting means corresponding to the potential error source is identified, and at the same time, a combination of the error-detecting means is selected and carried out on the basis of probabilities, whereby the error is reduced to an allowable limit while detecting an accompanying false analysis defects are decreased. Each of the selected means is functionally independent of the other means selected to cope with the error source and is prevented from mistakenly detecting the same proper means. The application of the method to a clinical analyzer is described as well.
