PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate dose equivalent, taking into in consideration the multiple scattering of radiation. SOLUTION: A method for evaluating dose equivalent in a radiation equipment including a radiation source includes a step for obtaining the first energy spectrum of radiation, on the basis of the inverse square of the distance from the position of the radiation source to the shield wall surface of the radiation equipment, a step for calculating the second energy spectrum of radiation at the evaluation position of the radiation equipment at least in by taking into consideration the multiple scattering of radiation in the chamber of the radiation equipment and a step for obtaining the dose equivalent of the evaluation position, on the basis of the second energy spectrum and the flux/does equivalent conversion coefficient for converting the energy spectrum to dose equivalent.
