摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that can conduct consecutive shot without being troubled by an emitted light quantity. SOLUTION: An output command section 300 decides a read number depending on a luminous quantity ranking (by a discrimination section 350), a reading mode (a read section 330), and an exposure ranking (a discrimination section 320) set by a user as required and selects a set of image pickup conditions from an image pickup condition table 410. The image pickup conditions are set so that the smaller the emmitted light quantity from a strobo 36 is, the larger the exposure (automatic), the gain and the emmitted light quantity are and the aperture (contour emphasis) processing level is decreased in accordance with the increase of the gain. The white balance is adjusted in a usual mode properly in response to the color temperature of a light source when the emmitted light quantity is small. Through the configuration above, the quality and the lightness of an image are proper without the need for awaiting the end of charging of the strobe 36, the production of a noise is suppressed and the consecutive shot at a short interval can be performed.
