PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery. SOLUTION: This battery includes a cathode electrode containing lithium complex oxide, an anode electrode containing metallic lithium or its alloy or carbonaceous material and nonaqueous organic solvent, and a nonaqueous organic electrolyte containing aromatic ethers that are expressed by the equation 1 and that can be dimerized or polymerized. In the equation, R1 is mutually independent single bond or an alkylene group of carbon number 2 or less, and R2 is mutually independent hydrogen or alkyl group of carbon number 2 or less. As for the lithium secondary battery by the present invention, there are advantages that the battery properties are maintained as they are, even if the battery is left alone for a long time at the full charge state and at higher temperatures, and that the reliability and safety of battery are also improved as well. |
