PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active substance for a lithium secondary battery consisting of a Spinel structural lithium manganese complex oxide wherein the cycle durability in high temperatures can be improved without decreasing the charge-discharge capacity, and also provide the lithium secondary battery in which the charge-discharge capacity and the cycle durability have been improved as a result of using such a positive electrode active substance. SOLUTION: A Spinel structural lithium manganese complex oxide expressed in a formula Li1+XMn2-X-Y-ZAYBZO4-δ, (A is at least one kind of Mg, Ni, Cu, Zn, and B is at least one kind of Ti, Zr, Ce, Hf), that is, a complex oxide in which a part of Mn in a lithium manganese oxide LiMn2O3 has been substituted by a divalent metallic element and tetra-valent metallic element is used as the positive electrode active substance for the lithium secondary battery. |
