PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic report unit that can realize a port configuration matching a request by a user by setting respectively a function of a 5-bit port or a contract unit part to each of ports. SOLUTION: A port function state information memory 27 stores port function state information that brings a function of ports P1-P4 into a port function state of a gas meter port function having a gas meter communication function or a contact unit port function with a contact unit monitor function, and a control section 23 references the stored port function state information to set the function, of each port to the gas meter port function or the contact unit port function, conducts communication with a gas meter when the gas meter port function is set to each port and monitors a contact unit when the contact unit port function is set to each port.
