<p>The spectacle frame, comprising lens surrounds (2), a nose bridge (5) and flexible sidepieces (41) e.g. of stainless steel, has each side piece attached to a curved rigid hinge arm (43) which returns the sidepiece to its original position when it is bent outwards. The tip of the flexible sidepiece is welded into a slot in the rigid arm after passing with a clearance through an elongated aperture (432) in the free end of the branch. The end (411) of the sidepiece passing through and fixed to the hinge arm has a flattened shape so it acts as a spring leaf.</p> |
