PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a battery characteristic degradation by existing of moisture in a nonaqueous electrolyte in a state filled up in a battery which is discharged from both electrode plates of a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, and provide a lithium secondary battery which is superior in the charge- discharge efficiency, cycle property and reliability. SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery is equipped with an electrode body 1 wounded or laminated to the positive electrode plate 2 and the negative electrode plate 3 through a separator 4, and uses the nonaqueous electrolyte including lithium compound as electrolyte. Integral concentration of water (H2O) discharged from the both electrode plates of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate is made as 5,000 ppm or less when the both electrode plate are heated to 25 to 200 deg.C, and/or 1,500 ppm or less when the both electrode plates are heated to 200 to 300 deg.C for the weight of the electrode body except for a current collection body. |
