<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for splitting a cathode-ray tube in a short time without a fail. SOLUTION: The splitting device 10 for a cathode-ray tube is used to split the panel portion 210 and the funnel portion 220 of the cathode-ray tube 200 and a heating portion 14 gives a heat distortion around a groove 400 of the cathode-ray tube 200 provided for splitting the panel portion 210 and the funnel portion 210. The splitting device comprises the heating portion 14 having a first heating members 22A to 22D and No.2 heating members 24A to 24D laid out at both sides of the groove 400, respectively, and a cooling portion 16 cooling the parts around the groove 400 heated by the heating portion 14.</p> |
