PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device suffering little positional deviation or damage due to slippage of the liquid crystal cell in assembling. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device that an illumination means 3 is arranged on the lower side of a liquid crystal cell 1 and the liquid crystal cell 1 is supported with a frame body 4 housing the illumination means 3, the liquid crystal cell 1 is placed on the frame body 4 via an elastic material 6 and a projecting part 41 abutting an the elastic material 6 is formed on the frame body 4.
