BRUSH DRUM OF SUCKING DEVICE FOR UPRIGHT VACUUM CLEANER

PURPOSE: A brush drum of a sucking device for an upright vacuum cleaner is provided to reduce cost of components, to simplify a manufacturing procedure and to cut down production cost by simply assembling a rotating shaft with a cover drum. CONSTITUTION: A brush drum(1) has serrations(22) on both ends of a rotating shaft(20), and a through hole of which diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the serrations is formed in a cover drum(60). The through hole is fitted with the serrations by pressurization. The rotating shaft is inserted to both ends of an agitator(10) wherein a brush(11) is plated. A guide drum(30) is forcibly fitted into the inner part of the agitator while being fitted into the rotating shaft. A spring(40) and a bearing(50) are settled in the guide drum. The cover drum pressurizes the bearing while slidably adhering to the end of the agitator. Therefore, the rotating shaft and the cover drum are manufactured easily and production cost is reduced.
