PURPOSE: A high pressure supply pump is provided, in which method for coupling the drive shaft and the inner cam is improved, to thereby reduce concentricity error and achieve an improved accuracy in control. CONSTITUTION: A drive shaft(2) is installed in a pump housing(19), and a feed pump(3) for feeding fuel to a high pressure channel(11) communicated to a plunger chamber(22) and a pulse gear(4) corresponding to a pick-up sensor are installed coaxially with the driver shaft. An inner cam(6) is connected to the rear surface of the drive shaft. A plunger(7) and a roller(8) are interlocked in the inner cam, in such a manner that the plunger reciprocates in a vertical direction toward the center of the inner cam. The rear portion of the drive shaft and the front surface of the inner cam are tapered, and coupled through a key, and a bolt(22) is coupled into the inner surface of the inner cam so as to maintain the tightly coupled state between the drive shaft and the inner cam. The fuel compressed in the feed pump is supplied to the high pressure channel and the pump housing, and a regulating valve(10) controls the pressure of the high pressure channel.
