The invention concerns lighting appliance whereof the two parts protecting the lamp are assembled with an elastic annular element. The invention is characterised in that the annular assembling element (26) made of an elastomer material is mounted at the periphery of the zone assembling the two parts (13, 17) by enclosing the contact edges thereof. The invention is applicable to street lighting.
