PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display element without variation in thickness of a liquid crystal layer. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal injection port 8a is formed at a proper position in the outer periphery of a transparent electrode substrate 7 placed on a fixing stand 4 while being positioned. Also, the upside of the transparent electrode substrate 7 is covered with an ultraviolet curing sealant 8 along the outer periphery part. A pixel substrate 9 is placed on the top of the transparent electrode substrate 7 while being positioned via the ultraviolet curing sealant 8. Subsequently a porous body 3 is pressed to the upper surface of the pixel substrate 9 and air is blown against it through pores 3a of the porous body 3.
