PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in promoting high pressure and high temperature of the steam condition by securing high temperature strength, preventing leakage of steam, preventing occurrence of rubbing vibration caused by an excessive elongation difference, and minimizing the leakage quantity of steam of a shaft seal part. SOLUTION: A turbine casing corresponding to a range from a high pressure first stage 7 of a high pressure part 5 of a steam turbine to a designated stage prior to a high pressure exhaust stage 8 is doubled, and a turbine casing corresponding to the later stage is still made single.
