PURPOSE: A device for detecting specific scene of TV is provided to detect a specific scene and process a program selection request or a channel turnover request automatically by decoding a TV video signal into a digital signal and comparing each line with a recorded signal. CONSTITUTION: A viewing determination unit determines whether or not to view a specific scene of an input video signal according to a selection reference of a viewer. A detection unit detects the specific scene according to a reference by which the viewer appoints the inputted video signal. A control unit generates a control signal to convert into other channel or other program according to the detection result of the detection unit.
