A load carrying vehicle (10) comprising a frame (11), a motor, moving means (13) supporting the frame (11), and a load carrying receptacle (12) mounted on the frame (11), in which: a platform (14) is rotatably mounted on the frame (11), and has a rotational axis (17) located substantially midway relative to the length of the frame (11); the receptacle (12) is located at or near to one end of the platform so that gravity discharge of the contents of the receptacle can take place to a discharge position outboard of the frame of the vehicle; a counterweight (16) is mounted on the platform (14) at an opposite end thereof; the receptacle (12) and the counterweight (16) are rotatable with the platform (14). |
