A procedure for the positioning of two-block sleepers relative to a rail grid support plate is described. The two-block sleepers (20) comprise two sleeper blocks connected rigidly together by a connection arrangement (24), following each other in a longitudinal direction of the sleepers. The procedure comprises the following steps: - bringing the two-block sleepers into a position relative to the rail grid support plate which corresponds essentially to the installation position of the two-block sleepers; - holding the two-block sleepers in essentially the same position reached above so that with at least one part of the two-block sleepers, at least one sleeper block (22) is supported relative to the rail grid support plate in or near its two opposite end regions in the longitudinal direction.
