TNF- inhibitors containing at least one compound selected from among serivastatin, atorvastatin, simvastatin, pravastatin, itavastatin and (+)- (3R,5S)-7-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2-(N-methyl-N- methanesulfonylamino)pyrimidin-5-yl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6(E)-heptenoic acid and salts thereof which have sufficiently favorable properties as drugs, for example, exhibiting excellent preventive and therapeutic effects on TNF- .alpha.-associated diseases such as inflammatory diseases without showing an y side effects.
