METHOD OF MEASURING LIPID COMPONENTS AND METHOD OF EXAMINING RENAL FAILURE

A means of conveniently examining renal failure and a method of measuring lipid components in urine which is to be used in the above examination means. Namely, a method of measuring lipid components contained in urine characterized by involving use of a surfactant in an amount sufficient for solubilizing insoluble fats in the urine and use of an enzyme acting on the lipid components; and a measurement reagent. Also, a means of conveniently examining renal failure comprising a combination of the measurement of lipid components contained in urine as described above with the measurement of lipoproteins contained in the urine and/or apoproteins contained in the urine and the measurement of surface antignes of lymphocytes contained in the urine.
