The conveyor comprises a guide (10) in the form of a closed loop. This contains coils (15) which interact with permanent magnets on carriages (21) to form a linear motor. Each carriage has a latch (41) whose position can be controlled by a control rod (31). An Independent claim is included for use of the conveyor to transport articles and change its orientation during transport between two work stations. |
