<p>An infrared projector characterized in that it has high temporal resolution and high spatial resolution realized without requiring development of an array element emitting infrared rays, a high temperature body can be simulated, and a high simulation accuracy can be achieved with high contrast by controlling the wavelength characteristics and the luminance characteristics. The infrared projector comprises a micromirror device (6), i.e. an optical spatial modulation element, for separately varying the direction of reflection of a large number of mirrors by separately varying the directions of the mirrors, a controller (7) for controlling the directions of the mirrors of the micromirror device, and infrared light sources (8, 9, 10) for irradiating the micromirror device with infrared radiation.</p> |
