The appts. arm comprises a tubular steel profile incorporating a cable channel, for housing the electrical leads for the control panel or control unit supported by the arm. An intermediate linkage (7) is used to couple two successive carrier arm sections (8,9) extending horizontally, with an end piece for supporting the panel or control unit fitted to the free end of the second arm section (9), e.g. at right angles. The carrier arm profile has an open top face and is fitted with respective cover plates (14,15) for each arm section (8,9), resting on transverse members (21) welded across the top edges of the tubular profile, together with linkage plates (22) for the intermediate linkage (7). |
