PORTABLE TELEPHONE AND MUSIC REPRODUCING METHOD

A portable telephone having a music reproduction function comprises a first storage where music data on music compositions is stored and a second storage (or a cache memory) where at least one composition to be reproduced is stored. A reproducible composition is selected from among the compositions according to a predetermined rule, the music data on the selected composition is transferred from the first storage to the second one precedently, and thereby it is possible to smoothly reproduce the selected composition when the portable telephone is called by a telephone having a specific telephone number.
