The regeneration phase may comprise treatment with an aqueous alkaline solution or treatment with a heated air stream. An alternative method for regenerating the carbon dioxide adsorption unit, where the adsorption material is an oxide of an element of the lla group comprises heating the oxide at temperatures above 500 DEG C.
