The transmission unit (4) is designed in two parts, a lever (4a) with a first engagement surface (8) and at least one rocker (4b) with a second engagement surface (11). This rocker (4b) is fixed at an end (5) of the lever facing the valve operating element (13) with its swivel centre (6) at the lever, also with its second engagement surface adjoining a contact surface (14) of the valve operating element. So that each rocker has a third engagement surface (12) for the respective adjusting facility (9), which runs at one of the second engagement surfaces. The third engagement surface adjusts the locating projection of the adjusting facility with cam lift, the elevation of which extends in the open direction of the inlet valve (18) and so that the locating projection (15) is displaceable relative to the third engagement surface.
