A gear shaft (13) operating as a hollow shaft has a first ring-shaped gearshift sleeve carrier (48) fitted concentrically and with no movement, which prevents a second ring-shaped gearshift sleeve carrier (32) for a changeover gearwheel clutch (12) from turning but allows it to slide axially on its outer perimeter compared to the gear shaft.
