PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing WT-006 extracted from Persicae semen as an effective component is provided, which can inhibit fibrosis of the liver as well as protecting the liver without toxicity in the liver. CONSTITUTION: A Persicae semen extract is obtained by the process consisting of: extraction of Persicae semen with acetone, reextraction of the extract residue with methanol, cold precipitation of the obtained defatted residue, filtration and freeze-drying. The composition contains the Persicae semen extract as an effective amount to inhibit fibrosis of the liver.
