PURPOSE: An adjusting device for an optical pickup and an adjusting method thereof are provided to locate a yoke at an optimum adjusting point while preventing confusion of magnetic fields according to adjusting operation. CONSTITUTION: An actuator having a yoke with a fixing combining unit and a magnetic circuit unit is fixed a fixer(503) of an adjuster. Herein, a weak current is supplied to form a weak magnetic field not to move the actuator. Herein, the fixing combining unit and the magnetic circuit unit are not fluctuated regardless of adjusting operation toward radial direction and tangential direction. After adjustment, a strong magnetic field is formed through supplying a strong current. Then, the actuator is firmly attached by magnetic property of the fixer. Herein, soldering operation is performed to combine a main body of an optical pickup with the actuator. Therefore, the actuator is fixed at the adjust point. Then, current is blocked after soldering operation for conveniently separating the adjuster from the main body.
