A rotor (10) in an electric motor has a rotor shaft (12) and an armature core disk stack of contacts (14) on it that consists of a stack of sheet metal plate contacts with coils in grooves. Towards a shaft end (16) on the drive side there is a fan (18) on the rotor shaft behind the armature core disk stack of contacts. A rolling bearing (20) connects to the fan for lodging the shaft in. On its outermost end the shaft end on the drive side has a pinion (22) that operates with a tool spindle by using a gearing mechanism.
